Power in the Plains

This photo, taken by professional storm chaser Mike Hollingshead at a Nebraska truck stop near York Nebraska in 2009.  This particular storm had produced a very large and long-lived tornado near Aurora, and helped really get the severe storm season going that year.  If you like these types of photos I would urge you to check out his website HERE.

This is a prime reason I really love living in Nebraska really.  The landscape through most of the state may not seem interesting to many (although Nebraska has many diverse and interesting features to explore besides corn fields), but it has a very active weather landscape that can change without much warning.
