Weekly Photo Challenge: Refuge

Sometimes you just need to get away, and this scene is no exception.  These two rabbits in the North American dessert exhibit in the desert dome of the Henry Doorly Zoo are no exception.  A hollow log provides some necessary relief from the sun’s rays.

I shot this photo on a recent vacation trip to the area.  I love taking pictures at the zoo.  I was uncertain what I would find there in the middle of February, but the zoo didn’t disappoint.

Great shot. I don’t know how you got it.

Christine…this shot was taken at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha Nebraska. It was in an exhibit that was called the “Desert Dome”, a giant geodesic dome that houses the desert environments of three different parts of the world. This particular shot was taken in the desert of the American southwest.
