That’s No Moon…

Well you probably know the rest.  I had intended to post a picture of the “super-sized” moon we had last night.  It was the closest the moon would be to our Earth for a good long time.  Alas, in my region of the world, the view was obscured by the thick steel gray cloud cover.  On the up side we did get some spring-like precipitation in the area, in the form of some thunderstorms.  So I just thought I would share my version of a super moon with you today.

I did provide some links below to some pictures others took of the event.  Please feel free to enjoy those at your leisure.

Cool, thanks for the links! I had a friend who was traveling and climbed a hill in New Mexico to see the “Super Moon” but was actually disappointed. But she got some exercise and a great view of the New Mexico desert at night, so it was probably worth it.

Well since you have read much of my blog, you know I am quite the space nut…I love the stars, and space in general. Always wanted to be an astronaut, but being mathematically challenged and vision impaired (glasses) made that dream one that would never leave the pad…
