You might have noticed that I didn’t put up a post yesterday. That wasn’t so much an accident as I was just busy over at my other site. I wrote vigorously yesterday. Time winged by, and I was having a blast. Then I read several blog posts yesterday that announced the respective bloggers had decided to forgo the challenge of blogging daily. They were not going to stop blogging, but they didn’t feel like the aim of blogging every day for the simple sake of saying you had a post every day was necessarily a worthwhile venture.
As I worked on content over at my other site yesterday, this really seemed to hit home with me. Over the last several weeks, I have put up content on my blog that while not a bad effort, has been less and less substantial in my view. I am of the mind that any effort should be done regularly, however the overriding principle should be the quality of the content, and in my humble opinion, I am not living up to the quality.
Don’t worry folks…my blog is not folding up shop. I very much enjoy how my blog has developed since last year. I am excited to see where my writing has evolved. I am even more excited to keep working my craft and honing it into something very special to me. I just don’t feel that blogging every single day serves the purpose it did at the beginning of the year.
