I found this statement early on my internet journey today. I found the statement incredibly wise for both myself, and the times we live in. Anyone that meets me knows that I am, shall we say a “passionate” person. Of course most people will call it something else…(cranky, moody, temperamental, high-strung, …okay okay they get it already geez!!).
Yeah, I am the guy who often says things before completely thinking them through. However, with that brain short-circuit also comes a very strong sense of keeping people happy. That creates an interesting dynamic within me. I do like to exert myself and my opinions, but I also realize that in my desperate march to be right about every subject in the world that I might hurt someone else’s feelings.
I realized long ago, that it is far more satisfying to have friends and family around than it is to be right about some piece of trivial information. I just wish I could figure out how to not be so cranky…er…passionate all the time. Of course were I not the way I am I wouldn’t have discovered the value of the statement above…how profound is that?
